Ramadan 2024: Iftar with Cambridge Muslim College
This Ramadan, Cambridge Muslim College is hosting its first ever public iftar. In the spirit of community and friendship, we extend a warm invitation to join us for an iftar gathering, as we break bread and worship together.
The theme of our Ramadan 2024 campaign is Understand the Qur’an, and so proceedings will begin with a recitation from the Qur’an.
Maghrib prayer will be offered in Jama’at on-site, after which dinner service* will commence. We will also hear from special guest speakers during the course of the evening – watch this space for further details!
*Please note, dinner service will consist of 3 courses. Guests are able to select their meal preference for each course during the registration process.

About the Lecturer
Cambridge Muslim College was the original vision of Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad, who continues to oversee and contribute to its work. Abdal Hakim was educated at Cambridge, Al-Azhar and London universities. He is currently the Shaykh Zayed Lecturer of Islamic Studies in the Faculty of Divinity at Cambridge University and Director of Studies in Theology at Wolfson College. He has published and contributed to numerous academic works on Islam, including as Director of the Sunna Project, and is a leading figure in inter-faith activity, notably as one of the signatories to the Common Word statement. He is well-known as a contributor to BBC Radio 4’s ‘Thought for the Day’.

Unfortunately, we cannot permit entry for children under the age of 12. Children 12 and above can purchase a concession ticket but will have to be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.
This lecture will be recorded and uploaded on our YouTube channel as well as our Online Learning Platform along with other lectures in this series, available for free.
We will offer a full refund five days prior to the event. After that, we will not be able to refund your ticket.

There is no public parking available on St Paul’s Church or the Cambridge Muslim College grounds. Paid parking on St Paul’s Road has a 4-hour time limit.
There is also a car park at Queen Anne’s Terrace which is a 6-minute walk away.
