Reports to: Chief Executive
Salary range: £42,516 – £52,245, depending on experience
Location: Cambridge (office based role) with some flexibility
Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the sound management of the College’s finances. This is a key operational role which has responsibility for providing accurate and timely financial information, advice and support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including the Chief Executive, and the Board of Trustees to enable them to make high-quality business decisions and ensure the effective and efficient operation and governance of the College.

The role has responsibility for the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, cashflow, budget planning andK monitoring, management accounting and business support, ensuring all are appropriately managed and follow best practice, and meets all statutory requirements with regard to financial matters. The Finance Manager will also ensure the correct implementation and routine review of financial policies and practices, to ensure that they meet industry standards and legal requirements.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) who, ideally, has worked in the charity sector and is adaptable with the working environment of small organisations. They must be able to work well with people at different levels and proactively assist staff with non-Finance backgrounds on matters relating reporting, forecasting, budgeting, monitoring, internal and external audits and other areas. They must be well organised, willing to work flexibly, and be committed to the aims and ethos of the College.
