On Sunday, April 26, 2026, the first ever UK National Summit for Imams and Community Leaders convened at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London to address the evolving challenges and practical solutions for masjid-centered communities. Cambridge Muslim College Teaching Fellow and visiting lecturer, Muhammad Husain Kazi participated as a featured panelist in the summit’s second session, “Forging Our Youth – The Mantle of Responsibility.”
Drawing on his extensive background as a Community Imam at the Ashford & Staines Community Centre and his academic background, including studies at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and as an alumnus of our Contextual Islamic Studies and Leadership programme, Kazi joined other prominent scholars and youth directors to discuss leadership development and the cultivation of faith identity among the next generation. The full-day event facilitated critical dialogue on topics ranging from financial sustainability and legal governance to the future of British mosques, concluding with a call for communal excellence and cooperation.
