The full recording of our recent Tea Over Books book launch for Analytic Islamic Epistemology: Critical Debates is now available to watch. The event featured the editors, Dr Safaruk Chowdhury, who we were pleased to welcome into our faculty as Teaching Fellow, and Dr Ramon Harvey, Academic Lead at Cambridge Muslim College. Together, they introduced the volume and discussed its aim of bringing Islamic theological traditions into rigorous engagement with analytic epistemology, drawing on themes such as kalam, falsafa, traditionalism, and contemporary debates in religious epistemology.

Guests enjoyed tea and treats, followed by an opportunity to meet the editors and have their books signed. The speakers also engaged directly with the audience, answering questions following the discussions.

Analytic Islamic Epistemology: Critical Debates is the first collected volume to bring Islamic intellectual traditions into sustained conversation with analytic philosophy, and we hope the recording offers an accessible window into this important emerging field.
