The Principles of Islamic Psychology in Practice (PIPP), an immersive summer programme designed to supplement the learnings of our Islam and Psychology students, is now in full swing at Cambridge Muslim College.
Over the past week, participants have immersed themselves in a unique blend of Islamic and therapeutic traditions – learning how to integrate models of the self, purification of the heart, and holistic approaches to healing into their practice. From contemplative exercises to somatic techniques and natural remedies, the first week has laid a strong foundation for applying Islam and psychology in real-world settings.
The energy on campus has been inspiring, with deep discussions, shared meals and a renewed commitment to embodying the principles of Islamic wellness in service of others.
