Commenting on the occasion of its release, Dr Ramon Harvey said:

“I am grateful to Professor Tahir Uluç who invited me to come on board his major translation project for the significant Islamic theological work, Kitab al-tawhid (The Book of Monotheism): to edit the text, to provide detailed annotations and a comprehensive scholarly introduction. Our fruitful working relationship since 2022 has made possible the publication of this exciting and long-awaited translation of the Islamic theological heritage. As well as a key reference work for students and scholars alike, our translation allows its author, Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturidi, to claim his rightful place within the great figures of world theological and philosophical literature.”
