Cambridge Muslim College is pleased to announce that its Founder & Dean, Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad, will deliver a lecture at the upcoming Cambridge Forum 2025, taking place on 3 – 4 September at the Guildhall, Cambridge. His talk, entitled “Thriving Amidst Existential Risks”, will explore how a thoughtful Muslim response can offer both practical and theoretical therapies in an age of anxiety, drawing on the Islamic principle of grounding human life in enduring norms often overshadowed by modern pressures.
The Cambridge Forum is a major international gathering that convenes business leaders, academics, NGO representatives, and policymakers to discuss the future of AI, InsurTech, and sustainable development. Over 300 participants are expected, with a programme that includes keynote speeches, plenary sessions, and hands-on workshops. Ticket holders gain access to all sessions, a choice of specialist workshops, meals and refreshments, and the Forum gala dinner.
Alongside the lecture, Cambridge Muslim College will play a wider role at the Forum. The College will host Muslim delegates in its residences, welcome international guests for a tour of its site, and take part in the exhibition stand across both days, providing opportunities for development and student engagement.
