We recently joined the launch of Green Theology: Emerging 21st-Century Muslim and Christian Discourses on Ecology, edited by Lejla Demiri, Mujadad Zaman, and Tim Winter, at the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge.

The launch event saw Professor Lejla Demiri, a Trustee of Cambridge Muslim College and Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad, our Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees, in discussion, emphasising the importance of scholarly dialogue in fostering deeper connections within faith communities and advancing theological responses to environmental crises.

The volume is organised around four key themes: cosmic harmony and chaos, divine stewardship versus anthropocentrism, the poetics of nature, and the relationship between theology, economics, and the built environment. It brings together essays from Muslim and Christian theologians, offering diverse perspectives on ecological issues within the context of the climate emergency. Contributors explore the role of faith in addressing environmental concerns, highlighting the value of interfaith and interdisciplinary collaboration.
