Earlier this month, Cambridge Muslim College was delighted to host its 2025 Supporters Retreat at Clare College, Cambridge. The three-day gathering, held from 4 – 6 April 2025, brought together esteemed supporters of the college from across the country for a weekend of learning, reflection, and reconnecting.

The retreat opened with a warm welcome at Cambridge Muslim College, followed by a tour of Cambridge Muslim College and a congregational Jumuʿah prayer at Cambridge Central Mosque. The day concluded with a communal dinner and evening dhikr at Clare.

Saturday featured a rich programme of lectures and workshops, including a keynote address by Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad, followed by an in-depth conversation and audience Q&A. Professor Yasin Dutton offered a powerful talk revisiting the early Madinan period, and workshops by Dr Belal Alabbas and Dr Davide Pettinato provided practical engagement with hadith studies and the Qur’an respectively. The day concluded with a formal dinner in the historic Great Hall at Clare College.

On Sunday, Dr Amir Ahmed led a Tajweed class before supporters gathered for a Development Report, feedback session, and a final afternoon of punting on the River Cam. The retreat closed with an Asr prayer, light refreshments, and a farewell dinner.

We are grateful to all who participated and helped make this inaugural retreat a success. We look forward to welcoming more of our alumni to future events, God willing.
