Congratulations to our former student Dr Francesca Bocca-Aldaqre on her new book Nietzsche in Paradise, published today. The book takes Muhammad Iqbal’s dialogue with the philosopher Nietzsche as a prompt for the discussion of Muslim influence on several key Western writers, including Daniel Defoe, Tolstoy, and others.
The author is one of Italy’s leading Muslim thinkers, and has written a number of books on Islamic thought, literature. She also writes poetry and stage plays.
