Cambridge Muslim College is pleased to welcome three new Arabic faculty members who will be delivering courses in speaking and listening, grammar, and related areas as part of our Classical Arabic Programme. Together they bring extensive expertise, diverse teaching experience, and a shared commitment to advancing the study of Arabic and enriching the learning experience of our students.

Dr Ahmed Halil, Teaching Fellow, Arabic

Dr Ahmed Halil holds a PhD in Arabic Language and Literature and is a Fellow of Advance HE (formerly the Higher Education Academy). With over 13 years of experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, he has taught courses ranging from Arabic literature and grammar to dialects and spoken Arabic. His research spans Arabic language and literature as well as studies on refugees and migrants. Before joining CMC, he taught at Selçuk University (Türkiye), The Open University, and the University of Oxford.

Talha Ansari, Teaching Associate (Grammar), Arabic

Talha Ansari began his Arabic studies in 2012 at the renowned Arabica Institute in London, where he later went on to teach. Alongside teaching English in London and the Middle East with prestigious language institutes, he has worked across CEFR levels and IELTS preparation. His passion lies in connecting English language pedagogy with the study of classical Arabic.

Sumayyah Tasnim, Teaching Associate (Speaking & Listening), Arabic

Sumayyah has studied Classical Arabic for over eight years in the UK, Palestine, and Egypt, and has been teaching for the past four years.
