Cambridge Muslim College is delighted to welcome Dr Fatima Nawaz onto its Board of Trustees. With a distinguished academic background in biomedical research and public health, Dr Nawaz brings a wealth of expertise to the College.

Her research has explored drug resistance in malaria across East Africa and the mechanisms of HIV infection, combining fieldwork with advanced biomedical study.

Beyond academia, Dr Nawaz has over a decade of experience in community development. At the Islamic Center of Nashville, she has held multiple leadership roles, including Operations Director, Vice President of the Executive Council, and a member of the Board of Trustees.

Her appointment reflects the College’s renewed commitment to integrating academic excellence with meaningful community engagement, both across the UK and internationally. Dr Nawaz’s expertise and leadership will be invaluable in furthering Cambridge Muslim College’s mission.
