Cambridge Muslim College proudly hosted its first-ever Freshers’ Fair, welcoming students, staff, and members of the wider community to a vibrant day of connection, opportunity, and celebration. The event marked a milestone for the College, bringing together local organisations, businesses, and creatives to share in the spirit of learning and community life.

From delicious food to inspiring art, from mentoring to health and wellbeing, the Fair offered something for everyone. Stalls were alive with conversation, creativity, and exchange, reflecting the energy and generosity of our community partners.

We were delighted to host:

Cambridge Central Mosque, Cambridge Crescent, Muslim Women Connect, The Grill Peri Peri (Cambridge), Samaan Restaurant – Middle Eastern Cuisine (Cambridge), Ramisa MakesnBakes (brownies, cakes, bespoke bakes), The Islamic Texts Society, Zahra Gulraiz (Muslim female pop-art calligraphy artist), Noshe – Afghan Restaurant Coffee House, Loris Parfum, The Reassured Soul, Girton Dental Practice, PelviPower UK.

Guests particularly enjoyed sampling bespoke bakes from Ramisa, engaging with vibrant pop-art Islamic calligraphy by Zahra Gulraiz, and learning about mentoring opportunities and enjoying freshly brewed matcha beverages with Muslim Women Connect. Cambridge Central Mosque, Cambridge Crescent, and the Islamic Texts Society highlighted the deep roots of learning and faith within the community.

We extend our warmest thanks to all who joined us – students, stallholders, and members of the community – for making this first Freshers’ Fair such a success. Your presence made it a truly memorable day and set a wonderful tone for the year ahead at Cambridge Muslim College.

We are excited to seeing you all at our next Freshers’ Fair insha’Allah!
